{"id":2102,"date":"2024-05-30T19:37:35","date_gmt":"2024-05-30T16:37:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cratia.com\/?post_type=news&#038;p=2102"},"modified":"2024-05-30T19:39:22","modified_gmt":"2024-05-30T16:39:22","slug":"serialization-of-medicines-in-azerbaijan","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/cratia.com\/en\/news\/serialization-of-medicines-in-azerbaijan\/","title":{"rendered":"Serialization of medicines in Azerbaijan"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Azerbaijan introduces mandatory serialization of medicines.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">From January 1, 2024, it will be compulsory to apply a 2D DataMatrix code to the packaging of imported psychotropic and potent drugs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Serialization for all medicinal products will be implemented following the approval of legislation on the system for monitoring and tracking medicines (as of the end of May, it is in the approval stage in the Cabinet of Ministers).<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is expected that changes to registration documents will not be required if only the 2D code is added to the packaging.
