Registration of food supplements

Armenia is a member of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) since 2015, along with Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia. Membership in the Union means that the Armenian legislation is constantly changing to harmonize with the legislative acts of the EAEU.

According to local legislation, the import and sale of special food products is allowed after registration under the “centralized” EAEU procedure and obtaining a marketing authorization. For more information on the registration procedure of special food products in the EAEU, please go to the next page

The Applicant for registration (Marketing Authorization Holder) may be the manufacturer, or any other legal entity, resident or non-resident of Armenia.

Registration of special food products is carried out by the State Service for Food Safety of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Armenia.

The dossier is submitted in Armenian, Russian or English. Administrative documents are provided in the original with translation into Russian or in the form of notarized copies.

The instruction is submitted and approved in Russian, the packaging labeling is submitted in the language of the country of manufacture, but the sticker in Russian is approved.

The documents are submitted in accordance with the approved list in duplicate, and samples of special food products are also submitted.

The duration of the procedure is 3 months.

As a result of registration, an unlimited Marketing Authorization is issued.
